Pool Tests – 2 days

On our first day, we tested the ROV in a small pool, testing for any leakage. We faced a large leakage issue, and soon figured out that it came from both openings of the endcaps, where the syringes were meant to keep the pressure out. However, since it didn’t do its purpose, we surrounded the syringe stopper with teflon tape, but still, water leaked into the main tube. On the next day, when referring back to the steps we realized we had forgotten to epoxy the surrounding area of the center hole. After applying the epoxy and waiting for it to completely dry, we tested the ROV in the water, and there was no more leakage.

Secondly, we have faced issues with two of our motors, one of which seemed to have been working abnormally. It had heated up considerably high, and when completely shutting down the program, the motor still continually spun and heated. We ordered a new motor, and refreshed the memory card that goes on to the Arduino, and now everything seems to be functional.
